Sexual Assault Services

Hope Harbor is a non-profit crisis counseling center that provides one-of-a-kind services to victims of sexual assault and their families and friends. These services are available to residents in Allen, Barren, Butler, Edmonson, Hart, Logan, Metcalfe, Monroe, Simpson, and Warren Counties in Kentucky. The main office is in Bowling Green with satellite offices for additional counseling services located in Franklin and Glasgow.

Legal Advocacy:

At the request of the victim, a Hope Harbor legal advocate will educate the victim about the legal system, accompany the victim to the trial and/or any legal meeting with law enforcement officials, attorneys, etc.

Community Education:

Programs are available for schools, churches, businesses, civic organizations, and others. Programs are appropriate for pre-school age and up. Topics include: body safety, self-esteem, sexual harassment, dating violence, rape awareness, risk reduction, internet safety, and recognizing child sexual abuse for parents and teachers.

With the help of counseling, a victim has the opportunity to become a survivor. Counseling sessions are strictly confidential and tailored to each individual. Family members and significant others are also invited to receive counseling in an effort to support the victim. Individual, family, and group counseling is available.

1-800-656-HOPE (4673) or, in Warren County, 846-1100 This toll-free number is available to victims of recent or past abuse and their friends and family members. Callers may talk about issues related to sexual assault confidentially.

Emergency Medical/Legal Advocacy

An on-call advocate quickly responds to a victim in a hospital/legal, providing important information and critical support during a medical examination. This service is available 24 hours per day, 7 days per week.
