To prevent the spread of the coronavirus\, we had to cancel Take Back the Night and all other in-person events for Sexual Assault Prevention Month. We know how important this event is to our community and it is really important to us to still be present during times of social distancing. Our TBTN shirts have been a staple to our event and we couldn’t skip out this year! We are offering our shirts online and will be shipping them to you. Make sure you check the correct size and include your address.This is why we are charging $10 for the shirts this year; to cover the cost of shipping and plus a couple dollars to offset the money we won’t be receiving due to the cancellation of the other Sexual Assault Prevention Month events. We will not be making a profit off the shirts as our sponsors stayed with us–despite the event cancellations–to cover the costs. DESCRIPTION:Take Back the Night is celebrated around the world and Bowling Green has had their own march and rally since the 1980s. As the official Take Back the Night organizer\, Hope Harbor brings the community together to show support for survivors and recognize the ways we can end sexual violence. The event will begin at First Christian Church with tables of information about Hope Harbor and other community services\, face painting\, and handing out t-shirts. Speakers will explain Hope Harbor’s role in the community and the importance of supporting survivors. This event is open to anyone in the community and we will march a short distance around the downtown area\, returning to First Christian Church for a musical performance and moment of action. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s\, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries\, but also the leap into electronic typesetting\, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages\, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum. \nHere’s some link\nWhy do we use it?\nIt is a long established fact that a reader will be distracted by the readable content of a page when looking at its layout.
